33: Happy Birthday Kyle

Yesterday was Kyle’s 33rd Birthday.  It was a full day so I didn’t have time to post anything, but better late than never.  And how could I not post something honoring one of the most important people in my life?  Looking back on his 32nd year we did a lot of adventuring and a lot of learning, which paid off to create an extremely happy and exciting year.  We climbed three out of the five volcanos in Washington and got engaged on top of the highest one.  We were lowered into a crevasse and pulled back out.  We hiked the Wonderland Trail together.  Kyle got a new camera and continued his love for photography.  We ate a lot of amazing food and played games with a lot of amazing friends.  We began to save and plan for the PCT.  We loved each other hard.  I am lucky for every year, day, minute, and moment I get to spend with this amazing man.  Happy birthday Kyle, I am looking forward to your 33 with nervous excitement and anticipation.  Now come home from work early and bring me my favorite sandwich already!  I love you.

  1. Oh, how I miss those days! Keep posting so I can live vicariously through you kids. After 60 those hikes become far more difficult, so stockpile the memories! Every picture you share brings back memories for us.Thank you!

  2. Happy birthday Kyle! I wish I was in my 30s again – my 30s and 40s were a truly great time for me. I’m still trying hard to have an equally great time but bits of my body keep letting me down! 😦
    Carol.
